Birthday and Secret Santa ;)

I forget to mention I had my birthday in November! Yaaaaaaaaaayyy! <3 I also forget to mention Room 6 is starting Secret Santa. Mmm, I wonder who has me. I don't want to find out until the end. Hope everyone has a good Christmas and everyone get's amazing Secret Santa gifts! (:

Summer (Hot Days!) and Christmas (Loads of Christmas Music!) and end of year (December!) is nearly here! I can't believe my years at OLA are slowly drawing to an end. My years at OLA have been eventful and fun and I'm so thankful to everyone for the help over the years. Teachers, Peers, etc. Good Luck for the future Year 8's and I hope High School is a great experience. And Year 7's; Don't miss us to much!

What's been happening?

Hiya,

I haven't updated my blog in a wee while but somethings that have happened in the wonderful Room 6 is.. We have all meet Mrs Marston's beautiful wee baby girl, She is such a cutie and we all can't wait to see her again. We are all on the way with our class books which we have followed out activities for. We have finished our Art Attack week which meant we did Art for the whole week last week. We are training for our School Athletics and there is a short story behind that, While we were practising our discus skills, someone came up behind me and tickled me and I fell in a pothole and badly sprained my ankle and damaged/tore the ligament so I haven't been able to do many practices as I was on crutches. Anyway, Today we also have our Catholic School's Sport's tournament so right now as we speak they will be playing either Netball, Hockey, Soccer or Rugby. I can't play my sport after the doctor's told me I couldn't after my injury. Have a great week :)

Welcome Back!

Let me hear you say TERM THREE! Yay, Term Three! Haha,, As you can see I'm pumped for Term Three. New Exciting Things! We have a new classroom and Mrs Marston's balloon may pop! The new classroom will be a prefab located on our school field. As I said about Mrs M we will get a new teacher. WE DON'T KNOW WHO? The mystery awaits.. :)

X-Factor Finals Time!

Well done to everyone who performed at the OLA X-Factor on Friday, We have some amazing talents at OLA, and also congratulations to all those who got a placing. Gee, some of you need to teach me your dances, skills and talents<3

Winter Sport..

Hey Guys, Hope you all had a great day. Well today we had Winter Sport & we played Kaiapoi Borough, We lost to them but not by many points at all, I actually forgot the score. It was a fun game and it tested all of our limits, as my player was very zippy! I kept up just fine and did some great intercepting. It was funny though because I got thrown the ball and it managed to bounce up my netball skirt and I was like "WHOA" and it all went quiet, so I got the ball back and threw it to our team and they got the goal. AMAZING DAY! Hope you all had a good game<3 xox.

Introducing OLA X-Factor...

Yay! I'm so excited about the upcoming OLA X-Factor & I'm really keen to see some talented performances and some great laughs in the progress... It's amazing how many talented people we have at our school.. EVERYONE HAS A TALENT.. it's just some are different to others. Have an amazing week and GOOD LUCK for X-Factor<3 xo.

Technology Twenty-Twelve.

Every Wednesday we have Technology. The Year 8's are doing Food & Nutrition. We get to make new and different types of Food from Sushi to Healthy Pies. Plus you get to eat the food once your done.. The Year 7's are working on things like Cooking, Wood & Electricity. It's really creative the things they make. Anyway, Have a totally amazing week xo. <3 

Science Fair Time.

Hey Guys, Hope you had a cute as weekend! It's Science Fair Time and everyone has got cool and exciting topics. This year Sofia & I's Topic is; Can you taste flavoured foods with your two main senses blocked? So we are testing Year 7, 8 & 9's. We started of by blocking their nose and placing a blindfold over their eyes. Then we place the selected flavoured food on their tounge. We have had great feedback from the participants which is exciting! I love Science Fair, it's really awesome especially as you can choose your own topic/question. Have an amazing week. <3

Winter Sport!

Heey Guys. It's Winter Sport Today. Let's just hope the wind gets a wee bit warmer! Hope you all have fun and try your very best in all of your games this season :) -Sophie xox.

Lightning.

It was so funny the way that we were doing an Information Report about Lightning at School & then in Christchurch there is Lightning. Anyway.. It's really different & interesting learning about the 8 types of Lightning for Written Language. We mostly have Sheet Lightning but Ball Lightning's Colours look amazing. Gotta Go & Have a Great Rest of your Week.

Cross Country Time(:

Hey Hey.


Today it was that time again, Cross Country Time. You could say some-people were dreading it & other's had been training hard and ready to smash their records and goal. Me? I was undecided and mostly not looking forward to it although I was ready to beat my goal and get in the Top 10. My year group and other's ran in total 2.8K. It was time for my race & the stretching had begin, I had butterflies in my stomach as we walked up to the starting line. The dreading words hit me "On your mark... get set... GO!" All and all I got 8th equal with my friend Caitlin which I was pretty proud of and I finished the race. Thanks for reading. :3 xox.
